A dynamic engineer ready to face the real-world challenges in the field of civil and structural fire engineering for the betterment of the community. After completion of my BE degree I started my carrier as a civil engineer in the residential sector in Chennai, India. This motivated me to pursue a ME degree. I then worked in different positions and my career continued as a structural engineer for a leading substation and power plant design consultancy in Chennai, India. After three years of industrial experience I developed an interest in research in the field of steel structures and started my research at QUT as a PhD researcher. Currently I am investigating the fire performance of double stud steel frame wall systems under the supervision of Prof Mahen Mahendran. This research includes full scale fire testing and numerical modelling.
